750 gm of suspected heroin seized; 3 held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A joint team of the Guwahati police and Kamrup police seized 750 gm of suspected heroin from a Bolero vehicle on Sunday night and arrested three persons, including a woman, in this connection. The estimated market value of the seized heroin is around Rs 8 crore. Police sources said that the team, which was led by Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Joint Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, intercepted the vehicle at Amingaon near here on the basis of reliable information and found the heroin packets hidden at the rear of the Bolero.
