A tribute to Dhiraj Jyoti Kalita

Dhiraj Jyoti Kalita, former Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath, breathed his last on March 17, 2022 at Guwahati following a brief illness. He was 62.

Born at Dhekiajuli in the year of 1959, Dhiraj Jyoti Kalita proved himself to be a brilliant student and he completed his Degree in zoology in the year 1983. He joined as Circle Officer in the Boginadi Circle after qualifying as an ACS officer. Afterwards, he served the people throughout the State in various capacities. He was the DC of the Biswanath district during 2017-2018. He retired from service as Secretary of the Secretariat Administration Department in 2019. He was associated with several socio-cultural and academic organizations like the Dhekiajuli LOKD College, High school, Sankar Mandir Namghar, Bihu committee etc .

He leaves behind his wife and a son, besides a host of relatives. Today, on the day of Adya Shraddha, we pray to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Hare Krishna Hare Ram. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om!
