Aam Aadmi Party protestors held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The State unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest at Dispur here on Thursday against the increase in prices of essential commodities. The protestors were later detained by the police and taken to the Basistha Police Station.

The demonstrators also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, including LPG cylinders, medicines, petrol, diesel etc.

The Congress has also criticized the Centre over the inflation issue and condemned the inaction over bringing down the prices of essential commodities.
