AASU opposes bus fare hike

GUWAHATI, Oct 8: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has strongly opposed the State government’s nod to the proposed hike on bus fares. Stating that the proposal is against the interest of the people of the State, All Guwahati Students’ Union (AGSU) president Rajmil Ali said, “The proposed hike on bus fares will turn into a heavy financial burden upon the people.” Meanwhile, the student leader also demanded to exempt 50% of the bus fares to the students.
