AASU to stage statewide protest against Price hike on February 19

GUWAHATI: The AASU (All Assam Students' Union) will stage a statewide protest on February 19 against the 'failure' of the government to control the hike in prices of essential commodities.

The protest will be staged by every regional unit of the students' union where the members will demonstrate at public places with essential commodities like LPG cylinders.

AASU president Dipanko Kumar Nath and general secretary Sankor Jyoti Baruah through a release stated that the price hike has harassed the common people.

"The supply department has completely failed to control the issue. We demand that the price hike should be controlled at the earliest," said Nath.
