GUWAHATI: Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that the State government should draw an action plan in consultation with other stakeholders in society to face the economic crisis that is in for the State after the corona outbreak.

The former Chief Minister has appealed to the State Government that it should holds talks with experts of diverse fields to chalk out an action plan that can cushion the blow of the economic crisis that is staring at the State in post-corona outbreak.

Gogoi said that some departments of the State like Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Food and Civil Supplies etc have already failed in taking steps to meet the crisis arising out of the corona outbreak in the State. “Let the State government hold an all-party meeting for discussion of the coronavirus and the post-corona situation. The government should come out with a complete relief scheme for daily-wage earners, farmers, labourers, fishery owners, livestock owners, tea workers, and people lying below the poverty line and others,” he said.
