GUWAHATI: Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, Additional Director General, BSF (Eastern Command) Kolkata, during his three-day visit to BSF's Guwahati Frontier, reviewed the current security scenario on Indo-Bangladesh international border.

On November 17, he was briefed by Kamaljit Singh Banyal, IG BSF Guwahati Frontier, about area of responsibility of Guwahati Frontier, operational preparedness and measures to combat various challenges on Indo-BD border and measures to control trans-border crimes.

The ADG also visited the Border Out Posts (BOPs) in riverine bordering area under Dhubri and South Salamara districts, interacted with the field commanders, took stock of security scenario, reviewed the border domination and operational preparedness in order to make Indo-Bangladesh international border crime free.

The ADG chaired the Prahari Sammelan, interacted with the border personnel who are performing duty at the Indo-Bangladesh international border to evaluate the real-time problems in border domination faced by the troops deployed on ground. He applauded the tireless efforts and dedication of the borderpersonnelin safeguarding the borders and efforts made by BSF Guwahati Frontier to control crime on Indo-Bangladesh border, stated a press release.
