Adityam Building in Guwahati Sealed by GMC

GUWAHATI, Sept 4: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has sealed the Adityam building located in Lachit Nagar on Tuesday. The complex houses popular eateries like KFC, Oriental Bistro and Barbeque Nation. The notice states, “On examination of the occupancy certificate and ‘As built Plan’ accompanying the occupancy certificate, it has been found that the approved use of the building is ‘departmental store’, whereas the present use of the building is found to restaurant, bar, and office in deviation of approved use.” The building has been sealed as per 337 (A) (1) of GMC Act 1971.
