Admission process in city colleges underway

GUWAHATI, June 7: City colleges, including frontline colleges like Cotton College (University), B Barooah College and Gauhati Commerce College, in and around Guwahati have begun the admission process to various courses for the session 2018-19. Improving the usual offline process of admission, certain colleges have made their prospectus available online. Hence, students are eased to fill up and submit the admission forms online. However, some colleges have maintained both the online and offline process.

The Cotton College (University) will also conduct the admission process online. The submission of online form for HS 1st year which began on May 27 ended today. Admission date for the Science stream will be June 12 and 13 while the date of admission to Arts stream is slated for June 14. The submission of online forms for under graduate courses like BA, BSc, BCA, and Biotech will be from June 15 onwards.

The admission forms for various courses in B Barooah College will be available in the college office from June 2 during office hours. The date of issuing admission forms for BSc for both day shift and afternoon shift is from June 2 while the last date of submission is June 9. The date of admission will be June 12 and 13 respectively. The date of issuing forms for BA day shift and afternoon shift will be from June 2, while the last date of submission is June 16. The date of admission will be on June 18 and 19 respectively. The date of issuance of forms for the HS 1st year Science, Arts and Commerce streams will be from June 4 while the last date of submission will be on June 12, 13 and 18 respectively. Accordingly, the date of admission is scheduled on June 14, 15 and 20. The date of issuance of forms for BBA 1st year and BSc (IT) 1st year will be from June 2 while the last date of submission will be June 19. The date of admission for both the courses is slated for June 20.

Similarly, in the Gauhati Commerce College too, admission to HS (Commerce), 1st year and BCom 1st semester will be conducted through online mode. No hard copy of forms will be available in the college office. Online forms will be available from May 30 for both HS and BCom. Last date of form submission for both the courses is June 7, while the dates of admission are June 14 and June 18 respectively.
