After Durga Puja Kahilipara Gears up for Kali Puja

GUWAHATI: After the celebration of Durga Puja, Kahilipara is now gearing up for Kali Puja. With the aim of bringing smiles in the faces of young devotees the Vivekananda Sporting Club Kahilipara, Colony Bazar is organizing the 55th edition of Kali Puja with the replica of Disneyland. The mandap has been designed with the theme of Disneyland. A total of Rs. 22 Lakh has been spent for designing the mandap. The organizing committee said that in the three-day-long celebrations, they are expecting the presence of around 80,000 to 1 lakh devotees per day. Almost 40% of work has been completed and the rest is expected to be completed soon. Celebrating Kali puja since 1964 by following Vedic rituals this puja is known for distributing cloths to the poor and organizing several other programmes. Besides 200 volunteer, security and CCTV cameras are also arranged for managing and providing service to the public.
