GUWAHATI: Presidents of AGP and BJP Atul Bora and Ranjeet Kumar Dass respectively on Friday addressed joint meetings of grass root workers of both the parties in Barpeta and Dhubri Lok Sabha constituencies. During the meetings, Bora and Dass urged the grass root workers to make tireless efforts to defeat their common enemy—Congress and help in making Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country for the second time. The joint meetings are part of the AGP-BJP’s election strategies to motivate the grass root workers to ensure victory of the alliance candidates. Talking to reporters on Friday, Bora and Dass said they have already held several such meetings. “The grass root workers of both AGP and BJP are now inching closer to work together. The gap between such workers widened after the Panchayat elections as both the parties fought the poll independently,” Dass said.
