GUWAHATI: The Ahom Community in Guwahati observed the festival of Me-Dam-Me-Phi on Sunday by offering prayers to their ancestors and forefathers.
Every year on January 31 it is observed by the Ahom Tribe in Assam.
The Hengerabari Me-Dam-Me-Phi Ujapan Samiti also observed its 26th Me-Dam-Me-Phi and offered prayers to the ancestors and forefathers.
On the other hand, Seng Reng Porichalona Samiti and Greater Tai Ahom Community at Sukapha Nagar Notboma also observed Me-Dam-Me-Phi with a day-long programme.
