All India Congress Committee Secretary, Jitu Patwari questioned the sudden rise in the assets of the Adani group in the past few years and alleged that it was not possible without the support of the current central government.

GUWAHATI: All India Congress Committee Secretary, Jitu Patwari questioned the sudden rise in the assets of the Adani group in the past few years and alleged that it was not possible without the support of the current central government.

He also alleged that the Congress party had put forward a total hundred questions under ‘Hum Adani ke Hain Kaun’ series between February 5 and March 22 this year, but failed to receive any replies regarding the same. It also questions the government’s support towards the group in terms of the privatization of key infrastructures across the country.

The foreign policies of the country regarding the support of the Adani group in Bangladesh, Israel, Russia, Sri Lanka and Italy also came under questioning. They also blamed the central government for supporting the nearly Rs 20000 Cr investments by the group between 2017 and 2022. Also mentioning that Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification was an attempt to silence the questions put against the group’s actions.

Also, the Assam Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) launched the third season of Young India Ke Bol from Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati on Wednesday.

President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee Bhupen Borah, National Spokesperson Jitu Patwari, Assam CLP Leader Debabrata Saikia, Deputy CLP Leader Rakibul Hussain, MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed, MLA Jakir Hussain Sikdar, MLA Subahan Ali Sarkar, IYC National Secretary and Assam PYC in-charge Ajaz Chaudhary, IYC National Spokesperson Moumita Kali were present in the launch event.

“Young India Ke Bol” is a flagship program of Rahul Gandhi to provide a platform for the Youth of this country for raising their voices against the cruelty of the central government. They also announced a speech competition for selecting spokespersons from the District, State and National levels of the organization.

IYC National Secretary and Assam PYC in-charge Ajaz Choudhary mentioned that today’s youths will speak against the autocracy, political vendetta and failed promises of the current government and IYC will provide them with the platform to raise their voice.

IYC National Spokesperson Moumita Kali said, “Enough of Mann ki baat!! The entire nation is talking about corruption, unemployment, skyrocketing price hikes, women’s safety, and other scams. We hope more and more brothers and sisters from Assam to participate in ‘Young India Ke Bol’.”

The participants’ age limit should be between 18 to 35 years. A registration link has been issued for the same and it can be accessed from the social media handles of the party. The last date for online application is 25 April 2023, and it is open to all.
