Airport Authority of India (AAI) inks MOA with Assam Government

GUWAHATI: The Airport Authority of India (AAI), North Eastern Region, Guwahati signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the government of Assam at the Regional Headquarter of the AAI for renovation and improvement of public road connectivity. According to the MOA, road connectivity from VIP Chowk near Guwahati Airport to Kahikuchi market covering a length of 1100 m will be renovated under the CSR initiative of the AAI.

DK Kamra, Regional Executive Director, AAI North Eastern Region said that the entire project will incur a cost of Rs. 45.lakhs and is aimed to benefit the people here. The second phase will complete this road from VIP chowk to Ajara, covering a length of 2500 m and the additional cost proposed for it is Rs. 47 Lakhs. Other dignitaries attending the occasion included Bijoya Choudhury, Dist Development Commissioner, Kamrup (metro), local MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita and senior officials of AAI including CSR division, a communiqué said.
