AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal hails Lurinjyoti Gogoi

GUWAHATI: AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal welcomed former AASU (All Assam Students' Union) general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi for entering active politics.

The former AASU leader took the charge of the AJP (Asom Jatiya Parishad) president at the Sivasagar convention of the party on Thursday. He joined the party formally on Wednesday at the convention.

In a statement, Ajmal said, "There is a glimmer of hope in the State with the entry of Lurinjyoti Gogoi into active politics in the State. In his able leadership development will see light of the day in Assam."
