AIUDF to field two candidates for two LACs in by-polls

GUWAHATI: The AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front declared two candidates for the two LACs (Legislative Assembly Constituencies) of Bhabanipur and Gossaigaon on Wednesday. The AIUDF will, however, not field any candidates for the remaining three seats of Thowra, Mariani, and Tamulpur. AIUDF's Jubber Ali will contest from Bhabanipur, while Khairul Anam will fight from Gossaigaon. The by-polls to the five seats in the State are slated on October 30. Counting of votes will be on November 2.
