AKRSU team thanks CM Sonowal for constituting Kamtapur Autonomous Council

GUWAHATI: A delegation comprising All Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) president and other office-bearers met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Janata Bhawan on Monday, and thanked him for his government’s decision of constituting the Kamtapur Autonomous Council for the Koch Rajbongshi community.

The delegation was accompanied by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury and Tourism Minister Chandan Brahma.

Sonowal told the members of the delegation to decide the modalities as well as other parameters which the community members want to be incorporated into the Council on a fast-track basis. Chief Minister Sonowal also assured all government help to meet the aspirations of the people belonging to Koch Rajbongshi community.
