All India Gorkha League forges alliance with Assam Jatiya Parishad

GUWAHATI: The All India Gorkha League (AIGL) has forged alliance with the AJP (Assam Jatiya Parishad), stated the party's spokesperson Jeevan Guragain while addressing a press meet here on Saturday.

Guragain stressed that both the Gorkha and non-Gorkha candidates of the alliance will get full-fledged support from the party.

Expressing his views on regionalism, Guragain asserted that everyone should unite to spread the voice of regionalism.

"We don't believe in having different regional forces for different communities. Rather everyone should come together for a mutual cause," added Guragain. It is to be noted that there are around 28 to 30 lakh Gorkha people in the State.
