All Moran Students’ Union Firm To Oppose Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB)

GUWAHATI: The All Moran Students’ Union claimed that they still stand firm against Citizenship amendment Bill opposition and condemned the government for failing to resolve their community crisis.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, President of the union Arunjyoti Moran and General Secretary Naba Moran asserted that the Moran community still remains backward in every sphere as both the Delhi as well as the Dispur has remained deaf towards them.

“We demand ST status and PRC for the residents of our community in Arunachal Pradesh. It is sad to note that each political party has made use of our problems and instead of resolving our issues, have conspired to keep them alive for their own political gains”, said Arunjyoti Moran.

Naba Moran blamed both Congress and AGP for neglecting the community. “The negligence of the Congress party is not forgotten. Our community was disregarded even during the AGP tenure which is rather unfortunate”, he said.

At an executive meeting held on March 29 here in the city, the union decided that irrespective of ruling or opposition party, the union will persist on their protest if their demands remain unfulfilled.
