Alleged Broker ADOs Sent to Judicial Custody

STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, Sept 24: The Court of the Special Judge on Monday forwarded the three alleged brokers of the Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs) appointment scam - Bikash Pincha, Kaushik Kalita and Kunal Das to judicial custody. It must be mentioned here that the Bhangagarh police on Thursday arrested those three persons on charges of acting as brokers in the recruitment of ADOs.

They have been already serving judicial custody in the infamous cash-for-job APSC scam. Securing permission from the court, police rearrested the trio on Thursday from Guwahati Central Jail in connection with Bhangagarh PS Case No 159/17. The APSC had conducted the written exam for ADOs in 2014. The FIR in this connection was filed by one of the candidates Bedanta Bikash Das alleging that a sum of Rs 15 lakh was demanded from him for securing the job.
