Climatological Information for Guwahati

On the other hand, on day four of deluge, the people of Silchar, in the true sense, are reliving the famous couplet "Water water everywhere not a drop to drink". On Wednesday, the situation further worsened as fresh areas like Ramnagar ISBT were submerged.

As the main road of the town was already badly inundated and vehicles could not ply, this alternative route via Ramnagar ISBT was the only road to move to Silchar Medical college as well as to move out from the town towards Karimganj, Hailakandi and Guwahati.
