AMTRON Signs Tripartite MoU for Establishing Strategic Cyber Intelligence Centre at Tech City in Guwahati

The Cyber COE is envisaged to provide intelligence services to the Government of India, state governments within India, Public Sector Undertakings (“PSUs”) within India.

GUWAHATI: Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON) has signed a tripartite MoU with Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd. and I-Sec Security Services Pvt. Ltd. for establishing a strategic cyber intelligence Centre of Excellence at Tech City in Guwahati.

This is a significant step towards strengthening National Cyber Defence Mechanism, improving overall security services and increasing vigilance on any cyber threats or frauds.

The occasion was presided over by Chairman, AMTRON, R.N. Kalita; Division President, South Asia and Country Corporate Officer, Nikhil Sahni; MD, I-Sec, Amita Singh and MD, AMTRON, M.K. Yadava.

The Cyber COE is envisaged to provide intelligence services to the Government of India, state governments within India, Public Sector Undertakings ("PSUs") within India, and corporates within India, against continuously growing and rapidly evolving cybersecurity threat landscape.

MD, AMTRON,i M.K. Yadav stated, "With the course of time, the scale and volume of cybersecurity threats has been steadily increasing. Once the realm of IT security professionals, cybersecurity is now an issue and concern for all, be it Government organisations, financial institutions or business bodies. With this tie-up we expect to cater the core areas of cyber threats and improve the overall cyber security of the State in particular and the nation at large."
