GUWAHATI: An anaemia detection camp was organized by Guwahati Urban ICDS Project at Hatigaon AWC on Sunday in connection with the observance of Rashtriya Poshan Maah, supported by the RBSK team and medical officers, Capital State Dispensary.
Awareness and counselling to the adolescent girls, boys and women on anaemia, menstrual hygiene, healthy diet etc was provided by medical officials. Anaemia test was conducted among the Hatigaon HS School students and adolescents of Hatigaon and Saukuchi areas. Iron and folic acid tablets were provided to them. Juvenile diabetes and obesity were also addressed.
