‘Anomalies prevelent in Gauhati University’

GUWAHATI, Sept 12: The Ram Sena alleged that a huge financial anomaly has been crippling the Gauhati University. Talking to the reporters here on Wednesday, the Ram Sena criticized the present state of functioning of the Gauhati University and said, “By not recruiting a new Vice-Chancellor to smoothly run the administration, the reinstatement of Prof Mridul Hazarika to act as Vice-Chancellor even after the expiry of his tenure provokes us to raise certain questions.” Stressing that the prevailing financial anomaly has been crippling the smooth functioning of the Gauhati University, the Ram Sena said, “We demand an inquiry into the whole episode.”
