Another bridge over Brahmaputra will be laid anytime all of a sudden: Himanta

GUWAHATI: Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the foundation stone of yet another bridge connecting Sualkuchi and Palasbari over the Brahmaputra will be laid anytime all of a sudden.

The Minister said this after laying the foundation stone of a planetarium at Dadara in Kamrup district on Wednesday. He further said that the works of the bridge connecting North Guwahati and Fancy Bazar/Bharalu will be completed by 2023.

On the healthcare front, the Minister that the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) under construction at Changsari in North Guwahati will start rendering its services by the end of this year.[Also Read: Latest Guwahati News]

"We've also planned yet another road connecting Agiathuri and Sualkuchi running along the Brahmaputra," he said, and added, "The planetarium at to be erected at Dadara will be a knowledge centre for the students of Kamrup district."

Science and Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta was also present at the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
