APDCL conducts maiden venture  into e-auction

GUWAHATI, June 1: The APDCL has conducted a maiden venture into e-Reverse Auction at MSTC DEEP Portal of Ministry of Power for procurement of solar power from ground mounted solar power plants on May 30 which will be developed by solar power developers on long term basis for 25 years.

In its bid towards achieving the target in respect of energy from renewable sources as envisaged in the Assam Solar Energy Policy 2017, APDCL had floated tenders for installation of 100 MW (4X25 MW) ground mounted solar power plant under Build Own Operate (BOO) basis in four separate regions spread across the state of Assam. Altogether fourteen numbers of bids have been received in response to the same.

As expected, aggressive bidding was witnessed lasting almost seven hours starting at 1300 hours. Lowest tariffs discovered for four regions are Rs. 3.70,Rs. 3.24, Rs. 3.19 and Rs. 3.17 respectively. Azure Power India Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi and Maheswari Mining and Energy Pvt. Ltd., Telangana have come out successfulwith bids for75MW and 10MW respectively. Signing of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with successful bidders will follow shortly.
