APSC Scam: Pallavi Sharma sent back to judicial custody

GUWAHATI: BJP’s Tezpur MP Ram Prasad Sharma’s jailed daughter Pallavi Sharma, an accused in the cash-for-job scam in the APSC was sent back to judicial custody on Friday. Notably, Pallavi ’s interim bail, which was granted for 24 days on the ground of her father’s critical health condition, expired on Friday. Earlier, the Special Court turned down her petition for further extension of the interim bail period. Instead, she was asked her to surrender before the Special Judge Court, on August 24 following which she surrendered today. She has been on an interim bail since August 1.
