APSC Scams: IOs To Continue Investigations Despite Transfer

GUWAHATI: Two police officers who have been investigating the cases of appointment anomalies in the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) will continue to investigate their respective cases in the APSC despite their transfer. In a notification issued recently, the State Home (A) Department has made it clear that Dibrugarh ASP (HQ) Surjeet Singh Paneser, now posted as ASP Golaghat (HQ) will continue to investigate the Dibrugarh police station case (936/2016) in connection with the cash-for-job scam in the APSC despite his transfer. The department has also made it clear that Guwahati (central) ADCP Subhashish Baruah, now posted as Morigaon (HQ) ASP, will continue to investigate the Bhangagarh police station case (159/2017) in connection with the appointment of the agriculture development officers under the APSC.
