Artisan Sanjay Kumar Paul to make fibre glass Durga idol

GUWAHATI: With Durga Puja about a month away, artisans have started taking orders for making idols. Sanjay Kumar Paul, an artisan, has received an order from London to make an idol of Goddess Durga with fibre glass.

Paul will make the 2.5 feet idol with fibre glass and clay. It will take him around one-and-a-half month to finish making the idol, which he will be sending to London. The cost of making the idol will be around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000.
