Arya Vidyapeeth College to Celebrate Diamond Jubilee from September 21

GUWAHATI, Sept 10: One of the prestigious educational institutions of the State, the Arya Vidyapeeth College is going to celebrate its diamond jubilee year from September 21.

The opening day of the three-day fiesta will be marked by an extravagant cultural rally in which the indigenous culture of the North East has been planned for a grand showcase. During the program a book fair will also be organized in the College playground besides an art and painting exhibition.

To commemorate the diamond jubilee year, a special souvenir will also be released. Benaras Hindu University Professor Gyaneswar Chaubey will deliver a lecture on the ‘Pandit Giridhar Sarma Memorial Lecture’ organized to commemorate the diamond jubilee year. This lecture will be followed by an open session, ‘Antaranga Alap’ where the former faculty members of the college and the alumni will come together.

Also, the programme will be marked by numbers of programmes like Bhaona, dance-drama, music and so on. Notably, the closing day will be graced by State’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya.
