ASBM organize the 8th National Marklogistics Symposium on Pertinent Theme

Kolkata: ASBM, one of the leading B-schools of India organized the 8th National Marklogistics Symposium recently on a pertinent theme, “Creating and Managing Customer-Centric Supply Network”. The symposium was inaugurated by D. K Samantaray, IRAS, MD, Angul-Sukinda Railway Ltd. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the key role of logistics contributing to the micro & macro levels of the economy. He discussed the journey of Indian Railways in pre & post-independence era & the challenges faced by Indian Railways. He focused on various important aspects like quality Infrastructure, market research, effective logistics and supply chain process and inventory management which are crucial for any business organization to flourish in the market. He has also released ASBM Journal of Management, July- December 2019 (Volume XI, Issue 2).

KK Paul, General Manager, MMTC Ltd. in his keynote address focused on the importance of formulating effective, logistics & supply chain strategies to stay competitive in the industry. He also said that it is equally important for any business organization to develop a customer-centric approach to satisfy its valued customers.

Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak, Founder and Director, ASBM and Chairman of 8th National Marklogistics Symposium, stressed on the importance of three important determining factors such as technology, innovation and strategy for any organization to stay ahead of its competitors. The customer-centric business organization should also focus on end customers’ need, he further added, a press release stated.
