Assam Assembly Foundation Day cancelled for Coronavirus Outbreak

GUWAHATI: In view of the outbreak of coronavirus, the Foundation Day celebration of the Assam Legislative Assembly has been cancelled. The celebration was scheduled to be held on April 7. The Assam Legislative Assembly was established on April 7, 1937 in Shillong. For the past few years, the award for the best legislator of the Assembly was being given away at this function.
