‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ from May 30

GUWAHATI: The state BJP will be having an executive meeting regarding major political issues on May 20 at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra. Ahead of the meeting, on May 19, the state BJP will be conducting a meeting with the office-bearers at the party head office, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan.

The meeting will be chaired by the state BJP president, Bhabesh Kalita. On that day, many organizational meetings will also be held. All the office-bearers of the state BJP, the district presidents, district in-charges, and district co-in-charges of 39 organizational districts, will be attending the meeting. At the executive meeting on May 20, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, other ministers of the BJP, MLAs, and MPs will be attending.

State BJP sources said that the meeting will be organized to discuss the party's preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The sources said, "The BJP will be holding its state executive meeting, in which various programmes will be announced to take the achievements of the Union government to the people on the occasion of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government completing nine years on May 30."

"During the meeting, the party will be preparing plans about the programmes to be conducted in each Lok Sabha constituency, at the assembly level, and also at the booth level. For that, the party will be launching a month-long 'Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan' from May 30. The party workers will be reaching out to each and every citizen in Assam through various programmes that will be held till June 30".
