Assam College Teacher Association donates one-day salary to fight against coronavirus

GUWAHATI: The Assam College Teacher Association (ACTA) has decided to offer a one-day salary of its members as a contribution to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

In this regard, Assam College Teacher Association general secretary Himangshu Maral said that Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has accepted the proposal and also publicly acknowledged the offer.

Similarly, the Guwahati University teaching, Non-teaching staff and VC will donate one-day salary amounting 30 lakhs to Assam Arogya Nidhi. Every principal of Higher Secondary Principal Forum, Assam will also contribute Rs. 2,000 each to Assam Arogya Nidhi.
