Assam: Female police officer Subhalakshmi Dutta suspended for torturing domestic help

GUWAHATI: Subhalakshmi Dutta, who was posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Charaideo, has been suspended by the Home (A) Department.

It may be mentioned that an FIR was lodged against the suspended female officer by her domestic help, alleging that the female officer poured hot water on her. After the incident came to light, a criminal case was registered against her. Earlier on Wednesday, based on allegations of torturing her domestic help, the police officer was closed by the Assam Police Headquarters.
