Assam Forest Department's Marakdola Beat Collects Record Amount of Revenue

DIMORIA, Aug 14: The Marakdola beat under Sonapur range forest office has collected a forest revenue of Rs 13,02,900 over a period of three months from March till July of this year. According to a source, this has been the highest revenue collected so far at Marakdola beat. Notably, the revenue amount collected from March in 2017 till February of this year was recorded at Rs 104,260. In this regard, Marakdola beat officer Abdul Rashid informed The Sentinel that the revenue has been collected from the trucks carrying boulder stone as well as limestone from neighboring Meghalaya. The officer further informed this daily that the collection has been made legitimately following the directives issued on March 6, 2017.
