GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has placed under suspension Saibar Rahman, Deputy Secretary, Welfare of Minorities Development Department. He has been placed under suspension with effect from the date of his arrest on August 24, 2021.
Mentionably, Saibar Rahman was arrested by the personnel of Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell, Assam on August 24, 2021 in connection with 'Vigilance Police Station Case (03/2021)'; and he was detained under custody beyond 48 hours.
He reportedly has landed property at 48 different places in Guwahati alone.
