Assam Government suspended Victor Das from school

GUWAHATI: There seems to be more trouble in store for Victor Das. The Assam Government has suspended Victor Das, who is an assistant teacher of Pub Panitema Radha Krishna Jugal Milan LP School.

The office of the District Elementary Education, Kamrup, in a notification stated that Victor Das has been placed under suspension considering the report of the head teacher of Pub Panitema Radha Krishna Jugal Milan LP School with immediate effect.

The police had arrested Victor Das on September 9 after he had alleged anomalies in the Grade III and Grade IV recruitment examinations. They arrested Das on the charge of spreading rumours about the recruitment process to fill up over 26,000 vacant posts in different departments. He was booked under sections 120B, 153, 153A, 384 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was granted bail by the Gauhati High Court on September 17 till September 29

The Assam Police had sought a detailed report on the Victor Das case from Guwahati Police. Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta told media persons recently that the Assam Police had sought a detailed report on the Victor Das case from Guwahati Police.
