Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi greets people on Holi

GUWAHATI: Governor of Assam Professor Jagdish Mukhi greeted the people on the occasion of Holi. In a message here, Professor Mukhi said, "I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam on the joyous occasion of Holi – the festival of colours. May this festival bring harmony and happiness to our lives."

Professor Mukhi also said the colours of Holi reflect the State's diversity and multi-cultural heritage. "I hope the festival which heralds the advent of spring brings in joy, happiness and merriment to all. In view of the still persisting COVID-19 pandemic, he also urged upon the people to celebrate the spirit of the festival and avoid gathering to allow the festival ensures everybody's health and happiness."
