LOANS UNDER 'APON GHAR'

GUWAHATI: The Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Government of Assam for the 'Apon Ghar' scheme.

Under the agreement, housing loans at a concessional rate will be extended to the State government employees. AGVB Chairman Debasish Gangopadhyay signed the agreement on behalf of the Bank while lsfaqui Rahman, Secretary of the Finance Department signed the MoU on behalf of the Assam government.

Commissioner & Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Assam, Jayanta Narlikar; Additional Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Assam, Palash Barooah; and AGVB General Manager, Sudhansu Patra along with other officials of the Bank were also present on the occasion.

The Bank has requested the employees of Assam Government to avail benefits under the 'Apon Ghar' scheme, stated a press release.
