Assam Khadi & Village Industries Board (AKVIB) Working Round the Clock to Prepare National Flags

GUWAHATI, Aug 13: The staffers of the Assam Khadi & Village Industries Board (AKVIB) have been working round the clock to prepare national flags keeping in mind the market size on the eve of the Independence Day. The AKVIB made national flags will be available in 39 stalls of the AKVIB across the state including three stalls in Panbazar, Chandmari and Dispur. The AKVIB will also facilitate selling of national flags by a mobile van in and around the city. Altogether 7 staffers have been engaged in coloring the flags while 12 others are busy in stitching day and night. An investment amounting to Rs 25 lakh has been made in preparing the national flags by the AKVIB. The AKVIB made national flags will be available in the market at the cost of Rs 500, 370, 200, 130, 90 and 60 according to its sizes.
