Assam Police Arrested 3 Vehicle Theft in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: On Wednesday, information was received from that two stolen Enfield Motor Cycles have been carried from New Delhi to Guwahati by train and the said motor cycles were ready for dispatch from Parcel Office, Guwahati by one Mahindra Maxximo bearing No AS-01EC-0758.

On getting the above information Inspector/RPF/Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB)/Guwahati along with officers and staff of CIB/GHY and RPF/Post/GHY immediately attended and detained the said Mahindra Maxximo at parcel siding, Guwahati. On checking, they found the two Enfield Motor Cycles bearing No. DL-3SEB-2881 and DL-3SDX-9271 loaded in the Mahindra Maxximo.

The drive of the Mahindra Maxximo disclosed his name as Lalu Kumar, M- 36 yrs, from Bihar. The other two persons found inside the driver’s cabin of the vehicle disclosed their names and identity asAbung Khaba, M- 28 yrs, from Manipur and Bashist Prasad, M- 35 yrs, from UP.
