GUWAHATI: The Boragaon murder case -- in which the portions of woman's body -- were found wrapped in plastic bags has been finally solved by the police. The body was found in the kitchen of neighbour -- Debjoni Das. Her body was wrapped in plastic bags under the kitchen cabinet. The victim was Antima Gupta -- the wife of Santosh Gupta. The married couple was residing in a rented apartment in the area.

Following interrogations by the police, Debjoni Das acknowledged that fact she had murdered Antima Gupta between 11:30 am and 12 noon on Thursday.

During interrogation on Saturday, Debjoni confessed of bludgeoning the victim to death following a fight over Antima's husband. The police confirmed that this case resulted due to trouble arising out of extra-marital affairs. Meanwhile, sources informed that the fight between the victim and Debojani occurred due to the illicit relationship with the victim's husband, Santosh Gupta. After a heated fight with Antima on Thursday, Debojani battered her, chopped her body into multiple pieces and kept the body pieces inside the kitchen cabinet for more than 24 hours. Later on Saturday, Debjoni Das was produce before Court; which sent her to three-day Police custody.
