Assam Police Special Task Force (STF) Seize smuggled Heroin, Two Arrested

GUWAHATI, Aug 7: Following a tip off, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam Police led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Rituraj Doley cum OC conducted a sudden raid at Ambari area on Tuesday and recovered 41.30 gm of suspected heroin from the possession of two persons. The offenders were later identified as Zakir Hussain (35) and Sunil Talukdar (32). According to police source, Zakir hails from Bishnupur district of Manipur while Sunil is a resident of Kalitakuchi area of Assam’s Nalbari district.
