Assam Police suspect C-in-C Paresh Baruah's nephew Munna joins ULFA-I

Guwahati: Following the missing report of outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom, Independent (ULFA-I) chief Paresh Baruah's nephew from Digboi, Assam Police now suspects that the youth might have joined the outlawed faction.

The missing youth identified as Munna Baruah is the son of ULFA-I chief Paresh Baruah's elder brother Bimal Baruah.

He is reported to be missing for the last three days from Digboi.

Speaking to The Sentinel Digital, Special DGP of Assam Police, Pallab Bhattacharya said, "As per our preliminary investigations, we are suspecting that the youth might have joined the faction. Let's see our investigation is on."

It may be mentioned that Munna Baruah was on a training period at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in oil town Digboi for the past few months.

Earlier, following his missing, a case has also been lodged at the Digboi Police Station and Chabua Police station by the family members of the Munna Baruah.
