Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) held meeting with nodal officers

GUWAHATI: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has held a meeting today with the Nodal Officers (ADCs) of the respective district headquarters in view of the ensuing Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 which is scheduled to be held on November 24.

Addressing the meeting, APSC Chairman (In-charge) Dipak Kumar Sarma, IAS (Retd.) requested everyone to cooperate for the smooth functioning of the examination. He calls for a free and fair examination process where only meritorious candidates attain success. At the outset of the meeting, Secretary Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia gave a briefing of the outline of the meeting. Notably, 60270 candidates will be sitting this year in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2018. The total number of centres is 31 with 122 Venue. The total number of post is stated to be 261.

The meeting was attended by members Mukti Gogoi, Prafulla Hazoari, Sajalendu Das Laskar, Dr. Ajanta Nath, Principal Controller of Examination Pubali Gohain amongst other. The meeting was held at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati, a communiqué said.
