Assam's Cotton University slashes fees for arrear, repeat, & betterment exams by 25%

Guwahati: In view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Cotton University located in Assam's Guwahati has decided to slash the examination fee of students appearing for arrear/ repeat/betterment by 25% for the current even semester.

"In view of the prevailing COVID-l9 pandemic. the competent authority of Cotton University has decided to curtail the examination fees by 25% for the curent even semester only. This will be applicable only for UG and PG Arrear/ Repeat/ Betterment examination 2020," said a notification dated September 15th issued by the university registrar.

After the revision of the fees, Under-Graduate category students will have to pay Rs. 825 for arrear, repeat, and betterment examinations. On the other hand, the exam fees for Post Graduate arrear, repeat, and betterment examinations has been set at Rs. 863.

It is pertinent to mention here that as advised by the Assam government, the total number of seats in Cotton University has been increased by 25% and the advantage can be availed by the students, who cleared the higher secondary final examination from Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), in the form of marks standardization. The online admission process for the coming year has already begun.
