Assam’s first 3D Animation Film To Be screened in USA

GUWAHATI: Assam’s first 3D Animation film - A Blind Dog -- has been selected for official screening in one of the most significant South Asian Film Festivals in America - Bay Area South Asian Film Festival’s Cine Next Festival section 2019, USA on December 7, 2019 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza, San Jose, California.

Significantly just six highly acclaimed animation films from all over the world got the festival's official selection in the non-competition section of BASAFF’s Cine Next. A Blind Dog is representing India in the category.

A Blind Dog is a 3D animation film from Assam. Animation, as well as direction, is done by Ryan Hazarika. Axl Hazarika is the producer, music composer and VFX editor of the 3D animation film. This is the real-life-based story of the relationship between a musician and his blind dog. The animation conveys a special and heartfelt message about the presence of strong emotional bonds with animals outside the realm of human relations. A Blind Dog is the first 3D animation film from Assam officially certified and censored by the Central Board of Film Certification, India. The film is scheduled to be released in India soon.

The animation film has made a tremendous impact in the global arena with the official selection at more than 25 International Film festivals across countries like Russia, Germany, UK, Italy, Africa, the United State, etc. which include major festivals like 29th Istanbul International Short Film Festival, etc.
