Axom Xahitya Xabha (AXX) Convention on November 27 at ITA Machkhowa

GUWAHATI: Axom Xahitya Xabha (AXX) announced on Monday that the AXX Convention will be held on November 27 at the Cultural Auditorium, ITA Machkhowa. Two people have been chosen for the honour of the Xahityacharya Award this year, former general secretary of AXX, Narendra Padun and Dr. Parag Kr Bhattcharjya. Padun is a noted literature, who is also acknowledged for his knowledge of Mising literature, while Bhattcharjya, along with being a distinguished scholar, is also a dramatist, a critic, and an educationist. University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) chancellor Mahbubul Hoque has been chosen for the honour of Shikshakcharya Award. Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy, AXX president Parmananda Rajbongshi, Gauhati University VC Pratap Jyoti Handique, along with other noted personalities, will be present for the Convention.
