GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court has rejected the bail petition of some of the accused involved in the Bajali police extortion case. The High Court has rejected the bail petition of the then Bajali Superintendent of Police (SP), Siddhartha Buragohain. The High Court also rejected the bail petition of the then Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Gayatri Sonowal, the then Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Pushkal Gogoi, and Gayatri Sonowal’s husband, Subhash Chandar.

The High Court also rejected the bail pleas of others, like homeguard Dipjoy Kalita, supari trader Shahidul Islam, and police informer Kishor Chandra Baruah.
